At ACCESS Care at Home, our care team is the heart of what we do. This month, we’re excited
to introduce you to Tammy Davis, our Program Manager. Tammy has been part of ACCESS for
12 years and brings incredible heart and dedication to the seniors she serves.

Tammy’s path into caregiving started early. “My mother was a CNA and got me started doing
in-home care when I was still in high school,” she says. That experience sparked a lifelong
passion for helping others.

When asked what she enjoys most about her work, Tammy says, “It is truly like a movie, hearing
about their lives and what they’ve lived.”

Tammy has many meaningful memories from her years in caregiving, but one story stands out.
“I had a client who became homeless due to his son not paying his rent. This client was unable
to go downstairs on his own and lived upstairs in a house. He was even unable to answer the
door when the police showed up with a vacay notice, and the client had to leave the home and
leave everything behind. When I got word, I made lots of phone calls and reached out on social
media. Within three days, we had him a place to live and everything you would ever need for an
apartment. It was absolutely amazing how our community came together.”

Tammy says her friends and family would describe her with three words: “Heart, caring,
hardworking.” Outside of work, she enjoys live music (especially when her husband’s band is
playing) and traveling to places she’s never been. At home, she spends time with her husky
named Kara. Her favorite place in North Idaho is the Coeur d’Alene River in Kingston.

Some fun facts about Tammy: her favorite comfort food is Embers by the Lake. If she could
have a superpower, she says, “Speed.” And when it comes to motivation, Tammy says, “I like to
say no butts, I always figure out a way!”

We’re proud to have Tammy on our team, leading with compassion and heart every day. Stay
tuned for more introductions to the fantastic people behind ACCESS Care at Home.
