We’re so excited to continue introducing you to our team at ACCESS Care at Home. We truly believe that quality care starts with the people behind it, and every team member plays an important role.

This month, we’d like you to meet Kimberley, our Office Assistant working out of the Kellogg office. She first joined ACCESS on February 29, 2024, as a caregiver. But just as things were getting started, Kimberley faced an unexpected setback: a foot injury that required surgery and a month-long recovery in October 2024.

“I was out of work for a month,” she shared, “and things became very difficult—never knowing if I was going to be walking normally again or where my place stood at work.” Thankfully, after some healing and rest, Kimberley returned and soon stepped into the office assistant role. “I was very grateful.” She quickly settled into her new position, answering phones, building schedules, assisting with CarePlans, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

One of Kimberley’s most meaningful memories goes back to her earliest days at ACCESS, when she worked with a client who had significant care needs. “He was the sweetest, most caring man I have met,” she recalls. “I loved getting him out into the community and taking him around the town in his wheelchair.”

Friends and family describe Kimberley as outgoing, spontaneous, and warmhearted. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking, swimming, and fishing. Her favorite spot in North Idaho? Silverwood! “I love the rides and the waterpark,” she says.

Some fun facts about Kimberley: her go-to comfort meals are seafood boil or chicken Alfredo, and if she could have any superpower, she’d choose the ability to heal anyone who is hurting with the snap of a finger.

And the quote she lives by?
“Do what makes you happy and not what others believe. You are the only one who can be the best you.”

We’re lucky to have Kimberley as part of our care team. Her journey, heart, and resilience remind us why the people behind the care matter just as much as the care itself.
